Darryl is a Mechanical Engineer with over 35 years of experience in upstream and downstream oil and gas and petrochemicals, with world-leading knowledge of integrity and reliability engineering and inspection management principles.
He is experienced in the implementation of global risk-based inspection practices and methodologies for fixed equipment; incident investigations/RCA; conducting Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity Reviews (FEMIR), training and coaching integrity engineers, developing risk-based programs for the management of corrosion under insulation and pressure relief devices, and implementing fixed equipment mechanical integrity improvement programs.
Darryl has worked, for a Major, as their Downstream and Petrochemical Inspection Segment Engineering Technical Authority and Refining Inspection Advisor. He is on the API Sub-committee on Inspection and Mechanical Integrity, providing input into API Standards 510 and 570 and risk-based inspection practices API RP 580 and 581.
