Integrity Engineering Solutions (IES) is an internationally renowned niche engineering consulting firm specializing in advanced analysis and assessment of mechanical fixed equipment. The company was established in 2010 and is headquartered in Dunsborough, Western Australia.

The focus of the company is on providing consulting services for projects and plant maintenance, primarily in the Oil & Gas, Refining and Petrochemical industries. The work performed includes Fitness-For-Service (FFS) assessments of damaged equipment, advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for both design and existing equipment, Pressure Vessel and Piping Bolted Joint Analysis and Failure Analysis. The company also develops and markets analysis software for pressure boundary bolted joints, provides maintenance and purchasing specifications for mechanical fixed equipment, conducts world-leading research into mechanical fixed equipment integrity and provides training in the design, maintenance and assembly of pressure vessels, piping and pressure boundary bolted joints.

IES clients include most major multi-national Oil & Gas and Refining organizations, with work blend of approximately 50% local and 50% overseas. We also provide high-end consulting to some of the major EPCM contractors and equipment suppliers in the industry.

The position would suit a technically oriented individual seeking to further develop their analytical and problem solving skills under world-class mentorship.  Ability to self-manage and complete work in a practical and methodical manner is essential.

The job responsibilities for this role include:

  • Analysis of mechanical equipment to international codes and standards
  • Analysis of Pressure Boundary Bolted Joints using world leading analysis methods
  • Use of the ABAQUS Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software for advanced analysis
  • Completion of Level 2 and Level 3 Fitness-for-Service (FFS) projects
  • Client interaction and support, including on-site support, as required

  • Administration, development and implementation of IES end-user procedures and standards

  • Support, Research and Development of the RT-Bolt load indicating bolts and manufacturing system

The role may also include (depending on experience & candidate interest):

  • Verification and development of the IES software
  • Development and delivery of IES training solutions
  • Involvement in experimental research work for mechanical equipment

Requirements – the position requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • A mechanical engineering degree from a recognized university
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective listening and presentation skills

The following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience with use of pressure vessel and piping codes (API, AS and ASME)
  • Demonstrated experience in performing calculations to API-579/ASME FFS-1 and ASME VIII / AS 1210
  • Experience using FEA software, preferably ABAQUS
  • Experience with design and assembly of pressure boundary bolted joints
  • Experience performing fixed equipment FFS
  • Experience with research and development pertaining to mechanical equipment
  • 2+ years experience, including the role of reliability, maintenance, inspection or fixed equipment engineer within a plant environment in a relevant industry
  • Experience in turnaround support and turnaround work processes, including inspection interpretation and equipment repairs

The position is full time and will be based in Dunsborough, Western Australia. Some travel to client sites may be necessary. The remuneration offered is in line with industry standards, with the added benefit of the Dunsborough lifestyle and lower cost of living included as a bonus.
